Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join a manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling equipment, interpreting blueprints, making machine adjustments, and performing quality inspections to produce precision parts to specifications. Experience with HAAS CNC equipment and CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join a manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling equipment, interpreting blueprints, making machine adjustments, and performing quality inspections to produce precision parts to specifications. Experience with HAAS CNC equipment and CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including loading materials, installing tooling, and making machine adjustments.
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and FeatureCAM.
- Operate and monitor HAAS VF-8/40 equipment to ensure parts meet production and quality specifications.
- Perform first article and in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools and quality procedures.
- Troubleshoot machine, programming, and production issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain CNC equipment, remove scrap material, and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Complete production and equipment maintenance records accurately.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of CNC machining experience or equivalent education and training.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- CNC setup and machine operation experience required.
- Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software preferred.
- HAAS VF-8/40 experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable work history and ability to meet production requirements.
- Ability to pass a required physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Compensation:
- $20.00 per hour
