For 25 Years
In 2000, Steve Wise founded NCW with a vision to connect talented workers with the companies that needed them most. Back then, the staffing & recruiting world looked vastly different. Manilla envelopes lined the office walls, each one representing a job site and applicant tracking systems did not exist. Through the years, many innovations and important decisions were made, but none were quite as impactful as Steve making Dan Mattingly our leader. Together, both Dan and Steve assembled the dream team that is now NCW and have made positive impacts on people & communities around the country.
As NCW celebrates its 25th anniversary, the company embodies its motto: ‘Power of the Past, Force of the Future.’ From handwritten index cards to data-driven recruiting processes, the staffing world has evolved, but NCW remains committed to its goal – connecting people with jobs.

What would you like to be true of NCW in the next 25 years?
I want NCW to grow responsibly and maintain the awesome culture it has had since day one. I hope we’re able to replicate the office camaraderie from HQ at each office throughout the country.
What excites you most about NCW’s future?
I’m most excited about the potential impact we can make on each community we serve. Whether it’s on a construction site or in an office, we can make so many lives better with the great work we do every day.
