Job Summary

As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal or other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring precise and efficient production of components used in various industries. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.  

Responsibilities
  • Set up and calibrate press brake machines, tooling, and materials.
  • Position and handle sheet metal for accurate bending.
  • Operate press brake equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy using measuring tools.
  • Perform basic tooling maintenance and replace tools as needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine or material issues during production.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure efficient, consistent production.
  • Record production data, machine settings, and maintenance in Epicor.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams.
  • Read and follow SOPs and interpret SolidWorks drawings when required.
  • Use necessary hand tools for setup and equipment operation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Previous press brake or metal fabrication experience preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in machine operation or mechanical ability and aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products
  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or having general knowledge of metalworking, bending, and tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including SolidWorks prints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with precision measuring tools
  • Comfortable using an ERP system (Epicor experience preferred)
  • Ability to lift materials and perform physical task as required
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. On a regular basis

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: 
  • 1st Shift | 5:00 am–3:30 pm | Monday-Thursday  
  • 2nd Shift | 3:30pm-2:00am | Monday-Thursday
