Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Installer to support chassis production in Goshen, IN. This position is responsible for installing and repairing components, completing post-powder assembly work, and assisting with various chassis assemblies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, reading prints and measurements, and performing hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Installer to support chassis production in Goshen, IN. This position is responsible for installing and repairing components, completing post-powder assembly work, and assisting with various chassis assemblies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, reading prints and measurements, and performing hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install slide-out components, shafts, hardware, room bars, and other chassis components.
- Perform repairs to damaged units and complete post-powder installation and assembly work.
- Read and follow blueprints, measurements, installation reports, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly and repair tasks.
- Inspect completed work to ensure components are properly installed and meet quality standards.
- Assist with additional chassis fabrication and assembly tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, installation reports, and written instructions.
- Basic computer skills; experience with manufacturing computer systems is a plus.
- Welding, plasma cutting, painting, or powder coating experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements while using tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be exposed to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
- Must follow required PPE and safety procedures.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift | 5:00 pm – 3:30 am
Compensation:
- $20.00 – $21.00 per hour
