Position Summary
We are searching for an experienced Yard Spotter to support shipping and receiving operations during a short-term, one-week assignment. This position will be responsible for safely moving trailers throughout the yard and positioning equipment at designated dock doors, requires strong attention to safety, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication with warehouse and transportation teams.
Candidates with previous yard driving or spotting experience are preferred. A CDL is not required; however, it is considered a plus. Responsibilities may also include performing trailer inspections, maintain yard organization, and assist with general yard operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely move trailers to and from dock doors and designated yard locations
- Perform routine trailer inspections before and after movement
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard area
- Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors regarding trailer placement and movement
- Follow all company safety procedures and yard traffic policies
- Assist with general yard and warehouse support tasks as needed
- Monitor trailer inventory and report damaged equipment or safety concerns
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous yard spotting, warehouse, or driving experience preferred
- CDL not required, but preferred
- Ability to operate yard trucks or similar equipment safely
- Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for the duration of the assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods as needed
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Temporary position | Short-term, one-week assignment
- Pay rate is $25.00 per hour
- Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
- One-week assignment | June 8th -12th
- Days | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or until job is completed
