Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Tech to provide hands-on leadership and support within a manufacturing environment. This role will help coordinate daily production activities, guide and train team members, monitor safety and quality, and support continuous improvement efforts to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and support production team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals
- Coordinate daily production activities and help manage schedules based on orders, materials, and available resources
- Monitor assembly and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Use Epicor MRP or similar systems to support production planning, material tracking, and reporting
- Promote cross-training and maintain work instructions to support an efficient and flexible workforce
- Identify process improvements and opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and control costs
- Enforce safety procedures, address hazards promptly, and report incidents as required
- Track production performance and communicate issues, opportunities, and recommended solutions to leadership
- Coach team members and promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive production environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma and 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience; technical or college education may be considered in place of some experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical assembly, and/or fabrication processes
- Experience using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with MRP systems; Epicor experience preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety and quality practices
- Ability to read and understand production requirements, work instructions, and technical information
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work the assigned shift and overtime as needed
- Manufacturing production planning, scheduling, or supervisory experience preferred
Schedule:
- 1st and 2nd shift available
Compensation:
- $20.00 per hour
