Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced Power Coat Painter to join our team. This role supports the fabrication department and is responsible for proficiently preparing and painting products in a safe manner necessary to manufacture quality cable products within a high-volume cable manufacturing environment.  

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute job orders; accurately interact with Epicor for production and reporting needs.
  • Read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to operate equipment and manufacture products correctly.
  • Complete and maintain all required production documentation, including production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, and all data entry into Epicor.
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain hand tools and paint equipment used in the coating process.
  • Powder coat parts according to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Conduct required quality checks and visual inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Identify and assess welded surfaces, structures, and components prior to coating to ensure proper finish quality.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines.
  • Assist with additional duties or projects needed to support the production team.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting.  
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Ability to identify surface imperfections and prepare components for coating.  
  • Ability to wear a respirator frequently while painting.  
  • High school diploma required; technical or vocational training preferred.  
  • Ability to perform basic math to interpret process sheets, SOPs, tally sheets, and to maintain accurate material usage records, including scrap.  
  • Capable of frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Schedule
  • 1st Shift | 6:30am-3:00pm | Monday-Friday
