Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machine Operator to operate conventional machining equipment in a manufacturing environment focused on quality and precision. This position is responsible for machining parts using manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of interpreting blueprints and performing accurate measurements to ensure quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machine Operator to operate conventional machining equipment in a manufacturing environment focused on quality and precision. This position is responsible for machining parts using manual mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of interpreting blueprints and performing accurate measurements to ensure quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading & analyzing blueprints
- Preferred understanding of SurfCam software understanding dimensions, tolerances & specifications.
- Machine set-up, installing the correct cutting tools, fixtures, & raw materials onto the machine.
- Programming or calibrating the machines' speed, feed rates, and cutting paths.
- CNC Machine operation – translate designs into computer commands, running the software and overseeing the automated operations.
- Manual machine operation – operating lathes or milling machines, grinders, and drill presses by hand, relying on skill & precise measurement to shape the material.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years of machining experience preferred
- Experience with setup, programming, and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with mills or lathes
- Must be able to completely read and interpret blueprints
- SurfCAM software experience preferred
- Candidates are expected to supply their own essential machinist tools
- Must wear safety glasses/protective eyewear on the floor
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $20.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience
- Application Window: Open until filled

- 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
