We are seeking a Cost Accountant to support financial and operational performance within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, operational variances, and forecasting data while partnering closely with operations, sales, and finance leadership teams.

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to support financial and operational performance within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, operational variances, and forecasting data while partnering closely with operations, sales, and finance leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and post daily manufacturing accounting entries
- Analyze cost and variance trends and investigate significant discrepancies
- Prepare daily operational reporting including inventory movement, sales, and cost of goods sold analysis
- Review BOMs and routers for cost accuracy
- Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation of cost ledgers
- Support monthly close procedures and prepare operational journal entries
- Lead financial support for annual physical inventory and cycle count processes
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory analysis and reporting
- Develop and maintain operating forecasts and variance analysis
- Establish labor and overhead rates aligned with operating budgets
- Perform annual cost roll and inventory revaluation activities
- Utilize ERP and reporting tools to analyze operational and financial data
- Support external audits and tax preparation activities related to cost accounting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, sales, and finance teams
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures including labor, material, and overhead
- Experience utilizing ERP systems
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- NetSuite experience
- Experience with inventory reconciliation and forecasting
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire position
- Pay rate is $85,000 – $100,000 yearly, based on experience
- Application Window: Open until closed

- Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
