Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a construction organization in Chandler, AZ. This position will manage project costing, financial reporting, cash flow, compliance, and construction-specific accounting functions across multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee job cost accounting, accounts payable, and contract billing activities.
- Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Manage office vendor contracts, including renewals and updates.
- Oversee tax filings and state licensing requirements.
- Review contracts, insurance policies, bonding requirements, and lien waivers to support risk management.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of construction accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Expert knowledge of construction accounting software such as Procore, Sage 300, or Spectrum Viewpoint; Spectrum Viewpoint experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- CPA or Certified Construction Financial Professional (CCFP) certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 3:00 pm
Compensation:
- $110,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year, based on experience
