Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping production lines supplied with the materials they need to maintain continuous operations. Unlike traditional warehouse forklift positions, this role requires frequent movement, quick decision-making, and the ability to safely transport materials to and from production equipment in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate has strong forklift skills, excellent attention to safety, and a proven history of reliability and longevity with previous employers.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for keeping production lines supplied with the materials they need to maintain continuous operations. Unlike traditional warehouse forklift positions, this role requires frequent movement, quick decision-making, and the ability to safely transport materials to and from production equipment in a high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods throughout the production facility.
- Keep production lines continuously supplied to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Remove completed pallets and transport finished products to designated staging areas.
- Load, unload, and organize materials while maintaining accurate inventory flow.
- Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report any equipment concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards.
- Work closely with production team members to support daily manufacturing goals.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of recent forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Stable work history with demonstrated longevity in previous positions.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a fast-paced production setting with frequent material movement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent forklift traffic and continuous production activity.
- Required attire: non-slip, closed-toe work shoes and long pants.
- Hoodies or clothing with drawstrings are not permitted for safety reasons.
- Long hair must be tied back while working.
- Required PPE is provided by the company and must be worn at all times in designated areas.
Employment Type & Compensation
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour
- Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
- Nights | 2-2-3 | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
