Safety Officer / Project Safety Representative
Contract-to-Hire
NCW is seeking 4-5 Safety Officers / Project Safety Representative for a nationwide contractor specializing in ADA accessibility improvements, pedestrian walkways, and parking lot striping projects. This is an 8–10 week contract-to-hire opportunity with all travel and lodging covered by the client. Candidates who perform well will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 annually
- Weekly Pay: $1,538.46 – $1,730.77 (this will be paid out weekly. we will not be collecting time cards since this is a "salaried" position. We will be billing them a markup from this rate).
- Per Diem: $50/day while deployed
- Hotel accommodations provided by client
- Potential rental car provided
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
- Opportunity for permanent employment after contract completion

Position Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring safe work practices and OSHA compliance across multiple construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to promote a strong safety culture, conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and client safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee orientations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and assist with corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Monitor subcontractor and crew adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing safety support and guidance to field personnel.
- Communicate safety updates, concerns, and best practices to project leadership.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction safety, supervisory, or field leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
- Ability to travel between project locations as required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting commercial construction, sitework, concrete, paving, or similar projects preferred.
