  • Strong communication skills and experience working with outside vendors and suppliers to ensure parts meet design intent.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and debugging.
  • Experience with equipment installations and prove-off at customer sites.
  • Experience designing robotic automation cells, including reach and cycle analysis, safety, and risk assessment.
Desired:
  • Experience integrating machine vision and 3D laser sensors.
What you’ll do:
  • Work with clients and internal teams to develop system concepts, define project requirements, and review project specifications.
  • Review client parts, 3D models and drawings to understand part complexity, tolerances and variances.
  • Help manage projects, including timelines, budgets, and coordination across teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Design complex machinery with pneumatic and electromechanical components.
  • Design and integrate robots, EOAT, feeding devices and material handling cells.
  • Lead internal and customer design reviews.
  • Conduct risk assessments for machine safety systems and robotic cells.
  • Produce high level designs and detail/assembly drawings for manufacturing.
  • Partner with Electrical and Controls Engineering teams to support smooth system integration.
  • Lead testing and debugging efforts during the build phase, working closely with other teams to identify issues and make adjustments.
  • Oversee the building process of the equipment, leading a team of assemblers.
  • Support equipment installation and help troubleshoot issues at customer sites when needed.
  • Create technical documentation such as test plans and operating manuals.
