Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections in a manufacturing and paint/coatings environment. This position will verify product dimensions and visual quality, document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and communicate quality concerns with production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has experience inspecting painted or coated products and is familiar with ISO-based quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality and conformity.
  • Inspect painted and coated parts for defects, color consistency, finish, and overall quality.
  • Verify product dimensions using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records using computer/ERP systems.
  • Identify and record nonconformances and assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings with production and engineering teams.
  • Follow ISO-based quality procedures and support internal audits as needed.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and quality documentation.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in paint/coating quality inspection preferred.
  • Powder coating or wet paint inspection experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and auditing practices.
  • Knowledge of standard paint and color inspection requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency using measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic computer and ERP experience; experience with databases and reporting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Work Environment
  • This position is primarily performed on the manufacturing shop floor and paint line. 
  • The environment may be loud and can become hot during the summer months.
  • Employees must be comfortable working around active production and paint/coating operations while following all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Schedule & Compensation  
  • 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm
  • $24.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience
