Responsibilities
We are searching for skilled Production Operators for a leading Western hat manufacturer in Garland, TC. This role focuses on sewing and assembling hat components with precision, consistency, and attention to detail in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble Western hat components
- Sew ribbons, bands, linings, sweatbands, and decorative elements
- Maintain consistent stitch quality and production efficiency
- Operate beveling machines to shape, trim, or finish materials
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, smoothness, and defects
- Follow production specifications, patterns, and quality standards
- Inspect finished pieces for accuracy and defects
Perform basic machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
Requirements
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines (hat, apparel, leather, or similar goods preferred)
- Familiarity with materials such as felt, straw, leather, ribbon, and fabric is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling small materials and tools
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00am-2:00pm | Overtime as needed | 50-Hour Work Weeks
