Overview:
In this position, the Laydown Yard Operator will be responsible for operating a Class 7 heavy-duty outdoor forklifts and telehandlers to unload poles and heavy materials for high voltage lines from flatbed trucks and storing the inventory away in the yard. This role requires prior Class 7 heavy-duty outdoor forklift and Telehandler forklift operating experience, a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work outdoors in the yard in various weather conditions
- Operate equipment – Class 7 heavy-duty outdoor forklifts and telehandlers
- Unload poles and heavy materials for high voltage lines from flatbed trucks
- Store inventory away in the yard.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating Class 7 heavy-duty forklifts and telehandlers. Forklift certification
- First Aid certification
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
