Position Summary:
The Helper assists the Route Driver with collecting and loading residential and commercial waste and recyclable materials. This position involves outdoor work, frequent lifting, and following established safety procedures throughout the route.

Position Summary:
The Helper assists the Route Driver with collecting and loading residential and commercial waste and recyclable materials. This position involves outdoor work, frequent lifting, and following established safety procedures throughout the route.
Responsibilities:
- Manually or mechanically load waste and recyclable materials into collection trucks.
- Lift, empty, and handle containers using appropriate equipment when required.
- Assist the driver with backing maneuvers and route operations.
- Report unsafe conditions, service interruptions, accidents, injuries, and property damage to management or dispatch.
- Communicate customer requests and service issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety procedures, attend required training, and assist other drivers as directed.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Less than one year of previous experience in the field required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to frequently lift and handle objects weighing more than 25 pounds and lift up to 70 pounds, including pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around dirt, odors, and noise.
- Must be able to perform the physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation provided as applicable.
Preferred:
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Work Environment:
- Work is performed primarily outdoors and in or around a vehicle monitored by video and GPS. The position involves physical labor throughout the workday and exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and other environmental elements.
