Position Summary
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support and improve automated systems within a fast-paced manufacturing and material handling environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, system optimization, and continuous improvement to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support and improve automated systems within a fast-paced manufacturing and material handling environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, system optimization, and continuous improvement to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation and control systems
- Support conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, and related equipment
- Work with PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and motor control systems
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Partner with operations and maintenance to improve system performance
- Monitor system metrics and recommend efficiency improvements
- Support installation, upgrades, and maintenance of automation equipment
- Provide technical support and escalate complex issues when needed
- Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting and best practices
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with industrial automation, controls, or maintenance
- Working knowledge of PLCs and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams or vendors
- Experience with material handling systems (conveyors, sortation)
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and 5S/lean practices
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Employment Type & Compensation
- Full-Time | Direct Hire
- Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience
- Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift | Monday – Friday
