Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse and material handling operations in Lincolnton, NC. This hands-on role involves operating a standard forklift, unloading flatbed and dry van deliveries, and moving oversized racking and other materials between two buildings. The ideal candidate has experience handling long or oversized loads, works safely and efficiently, and is comfortable with physically active warehouse work.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse and material handling operations in Lincolnton, NC. This hands-on role involves operating a standard forklift, unloading flatbed and dry van deliveries, and moving oversized racking and other materials between two buildings. The ideal candidate has experience handling long or oversized loads, works safely and efficiently, and is comfortable with physically active warehouse work.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a standard forklift to safely move, stage, load, and unload materials.
- Unload materials from flatbed trucks and dry vans as needed.
- Handle and move oversized racking and materials, including pieces approximately 30 feet long.
- Bend, lift, and handle materials weighing up to 40 lbs. in the second building.
- Scan and move materials between two buildings while maintaining accurate inventory movement.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, drivers, and customers as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Experience handling oversized or extended-length loads strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely maneuver long materials and operate a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Comfortable with frequent bending, standing, lifting, and other physical warehouse duties.
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Customer service experience is a major plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to follow required dress and PPE standards, including steel-toed boots, long pants, and a plain T-shirt.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday | 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Compensation:
- $18.00 per hour
