Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join a leading manufactures quality team in Lakewood, CA. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements before being released into production. The ideal candidate has previous receiving inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, is proficient with ERP/MRP systems, and possesses strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials, components, and purchased parts using drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Verify product compliance through dimensional inspections, visual inspections, and documentation review.
  • Record inspection results accurately within the company's ERP/MRP system and maintain complete inspection records.
  • Review certifications, packing slips, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials and work with Quality and Purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized inspection areas while following company quality procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Inspector, Quality Inspector, or similar inspection role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Strong computer, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection documentation.
  • Understanding of GD&T and basic inspection methodologies.
Employment Type & Compensation
  • Full-Time | Temporary–Up to 6-week long project
  • Compensation: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
