Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Yard Spotter with a valid Class A CDL to safely move loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and dock areas. This role uses a powered industrial truck to position trailers for warehouse sorting, merchandise processing, shipment, and storage. The position also provides warehouse support as needed. The ideal candidate has previous yard or spotting experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to maneuver a powered industrial truck while operating in reverse for extended periods. This position requires driving off site back and forth 1.5 miles to another location.
Responsibilities:

This role uses a powered industrial truck to position trailers for warehouse sorting, merchandise processing, shipment, and storage. The position also provides warehouse support as needed. Responsibilities:
- Safely move and position loaded and empty trailers between the yard, docks, and designated areas using a powered industrial truck.
- Drive off site 1.5 miles back and forth to another location.
- Spot trailers accurately to support warehouse sorting, merchandise processing, loading, unloading, shipment, and storage operations.
- Inspect inbound and outbound shipments and trailers for accuracy and visible damage and report issues as needed.
- Maintain complete and legible records and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Assist with warehouse duties and material handling as needed to support daily operations.
- Maintain a safe and organized yard and work environment while following all safety procedures and operating requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Current forklift certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Yard Spotter, Yard Jockey, Yard Hustler, or in a similar role.
- Ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to position the body to drive backward for extended periods while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness, with the ability to judge distances and heights and maintain good balance.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
- Ability to work in varying outdoor and warehouse temperatures depending on the season.
- Must be dependable, follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must prioritize safety to help prevent injury to coworkers, visitors, and others in the work area.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 1:30 – 10:00 pm
Compensation:
- $28.00 per hour
