Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial HVAC controls and building automation projects. This position coordinates procurement, project documentation, billing, scheduling, and day-to-day project activities while working closely with field technicians, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial HVAC controls and building automation projects. This position coordinates procurement, project documentation, billing, scheduling, and day-to-day project activities while working closely with field technicians, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement of controllers, sensors, valves, actuators, panels, and other project materials while tracking quotes, pricing, lead times, purchase orders, and deliveries.
- Manage project billing activities, including AIA G702/G703 pay applications, schedule-of-values updates, lien waivers, stored-material documentation, and payment tracking.
- Support project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, closeout packages, O&M manuals, warranties, and document control.
- Coordinate project meetings, track action items, and communicate project schedules, material availability, and delivery updates with project teams and field personnel.
- Maintain accurate project and financial records, including job costs, material logs, vendor credits, billing information, and project setup within accounting or project management systems.
- Coordinate subcontractor documentation and work closely with vendors, technicians, accounting, contractors, and customers to keep projects organized and on schedule.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, procurement, construction administration, or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC controls, building automation, or low-voltage construction preferred.
- Working knowledge of construction billing, lien waivers, project documentation, and AIA G702/G703 pay applications preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with Sage 100 Contractor or similar construction accounting software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field.
- Familiarity with BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, or building automation systems.
- Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field technicians.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation:
- $80,000 – $125,000 annually, based on experience
