Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at a facility in Terrell, TX. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, driving safety and quality standards, and ensuring production goals are met efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and support to production team members, monitor workflow and performance, address operational issues, and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Strong communication skills, prior manufacturing leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily powder coating operations including pretreatment, powder application, curing ovens, and material handling.
  • Ensure production schedules and output targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor coating thickness, adhesion, cure quality, and finish appearance to ensure specifications are met.
  • Coordinate changeovers, color changes, and line setups to minimize downtime.
  • Work with maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Ensure pretreatment systems, wash stages, and ovens operate within required parameters.
  • Enforce safety procedures related to powder coating, chemicals, ovens, and conveyors.
  • Monitor and control powder usage, waste, and material efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and labor records.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production leadership to resolve defects and improve processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Directly supervises powder coat line operators and support personnel.
  • Provides training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Ensures employees follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Participates in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Develops team capability and promotes a culture of accountability and continuous
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • HS Diploma or equivalent, technical or college coursework preferred  
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with powder coating or paint line experience strongly preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of powder coating systems, pretreatment processes, and curing ovens
  • Experience with production reporting systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual is a plus.  
  • Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and quality specifications

Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire position | Permanent placement with employer
  • Pay rate is $65,000 annually  
  • Application Window: Open until closed  
Work Schedule
  • 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
