The Scaffold Yard Worker is responsible for handling, organizing, inspecting, and maintaining scaffolding materials in the yard. This role ensures equipment is safe, properly stored, and ready for delivery or return from job sites. It involves physical labor, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
 Key Responsibilities:

 Load and unload scaffolding materials (frames, braces, planks, pipes, and fittings)
 Inspect returned equipment for damage, defects, or missing components
 Clean, repair, and prepare scaffolding for reuse
 Sort and organize materials in designated yard areas
 Assist with inventory counts and tracking of equipment
 Prepare orders for delivery according to job specifications
 Operate yard equipment such as forklifts (if certified)
 Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
 Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
 Assist drivers and field crews as needed

 Required Skills & Qualifications:
 High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
 Previous construction, warehouse, or yard experience (preferred)
 Ability to lift heavy materials (50–75 lbs or more regularly)
 Basic understanding of scaffolding components (a plus)
 Forklift certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
 Strong work ethic and reliability
 Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
 Good teamwork and communication skills

 Work Environment:
 Outdoor yard environment in various weather conditions
 Physically demanding work involving lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
 Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment

 Safety Requirements:
 Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses
 Compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
