Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician shall be responsible for the repair and upkeep of the machinery, mechanical equipment, and the building and grounds, thereby ensuring a safe environment.    
Key Responsibilities
  • Repairs and maintains working order of machinery, mechanical equipment, building and grounds to establish and ensure a safe environment. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.
  • Follow company safety protocols and procedures including PPE requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Tow motor licensure preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbal and written  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense of understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Schedule and Compensation
  • Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire, permanent placement
  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:30pm-12:30am
  • Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00 hourly, based on experience
  • Application Window: Open until filled
Physical Requirements
  • Physical ability to work for extended periods while using hands to finger, handle, or feed, reach with hands and arms, walking, standing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling    
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move weights up to 100 lbs.
