Position Summary
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing components by performing setups and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes and ensure the highest standards of precision and quality, and efficiency in all projects. Candidates are required to have a background in Aerospace & Defense, expertise in machining, and a strong commitment to producing precision components that meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing components by performing setups and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes and ensure the highest standards of precision and quality, and efficiency in all projects. Candidates are required to have a background in Aerospace & Defense, expertise in machining, and a strong commitment to producing precision components that meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup, and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
- Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure parts meet specifications
- Perform precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring devices to verify accuracy
- Collaborate with design engineers using SolidWorks and Mastercam software to develop machining plans
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and improving efficiency
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC Machinist experience in Aerospace & Defense is required
- Extensive experience in MasterCam and Mazatrol
- Well versed in set-ups and technical assemblies
- Able to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, fixture alignment, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Versed in blueprint reading, CMM outputs, using micrometers, and calipers
- Must be able to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work for extended periods of time standing, bending, and stooping
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire position
- Pay rate is $36.00 -$45.00 per hour, based on experience
- Application Window: Open until closed
Work Schedule
- Days – open to potentially going to night shifts
