Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise/assist TCT/laborer/driver in traffic control responsibilities
- Coordinate TCT assignment with dispatch
- Make deliveries, pick-ups and job checks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
- Maintain accurate and timely Pre-Trip and Post Trip Inspection Paperwork
- Maintain delivery/pickup tickets
- Flexibility to work on various schedules and stay late, when necessary, with little or no notice. Able to work mid and night shifts
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR **Must maintain a valid driver’s license during entire employment**
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check
- Pass medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Must hold current TCS certification
- Must maintain CCA or ATSSA TCS Certification
- A strong knowledge of the traffic control/construction industry
Work Settings/Description of Environmental Hazards Encountered
- Highways, city, and county roads. Working around moving vehicles on roadways and moving heavy equipment at road construction sites.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with team members inside and out of the organization
- Self-motivated; capable of taking initiative, successfully handling and prioritizing multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
Travel
- Daily travel to and from worksite, some overnight travel may be necessary.
- Working Environment/Physical Requirements
- Work is performed outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions / varying temperature, e.g., exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, dry and / or windy conditions.
- Minimum lifting requirements are 35lbs.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
- Work includes prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead) up to 75lbs., standing, walking, climbing, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, climbing and balance, crouching and crawling.
- Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, 8 to 10 hrs. per day up to 6 days per week
