We are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Supervisor to support our client’s fabrication manufacturing operations in Faribault. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily fabrication activities while leading a team of production associates. This is a hands-on, people focused, and improvement driven role ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Lead, coach, and support a team of fabrication associates to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
- Assign work based on skill level, workload, and production priorities
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor to develop weekly staffing schedules and authorize overtime as needed.
- Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure products meet engineering, quality, environmental, and safety standards
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts and ensure fabrication areas are compliant with 55 standards and best practices
- Accurately track production data, labor utilization, and progress using EPICOR
- Maintain daily production records, machine usage, downtime tracking, and assist with preparing reports related to production efficiency, labor, and material usage
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with Maintenance for repairs
Manage internal inventory of materials, tools, and equipment within the fabrication area - Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements for the fabrication departments
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing with proven experience coaching, training, developing employees is highly preferred
- Ability to safely lift weights up to 50 pounds
- Strong understanding of shop safety practices and production workflows
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems (EPICORE preferred)
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

- 2nd shift | 3:30pm-2:00am | Monday-Thursday
