Commercial Roofing Estimator
Location: Miami, FL (South Florida)
 Experience: 3+ years in Commercial Roofing Estimating
Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (with bonus/commission potential)
 
About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing commercial roofing contractor in the South Florida market seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to support new business opportunities and ongoing projects. This role plays a key part in accurately pricing projects, supporting sales and operations teams, and helping the company win profitable work across the region.
This position is ideal for an estimator who understands South Florida roofing systems, labor pricing, materials, and local market conditions, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects, including new construction, re-roofing, and repair/service work
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop complete scopes of work
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs and labor calculations
  • Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and code compliance
  • Collaborate closely with sales, project management, and operations teams
  • Assist with bid strategy, proposal development, and pre-construction planning
  • Maintain organized estimate files and support handoff to project teams upon award
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, Metal, coatings, etc.)
  • Familiarity with South Florida building codes and permitting is a plus
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and takeoff tools
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
