 JOB SUMMARY  

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to temporarily cover a team member who is out on medical leave. This role is critical to keeping production running smoothly and requires strong electrical troubleshooting, solid mechanical fundamentals and hands-on experience with conveyor systems and industrial packaging equipment.  

This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The right candidate knows how to prioritize issues, respond with urgency, and fix problems correctly the first time.  

RESONSIBILITIES  
Electrical Troubleshooting (High Priority)  
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues on industrial machinery and conveyor systems  
  • Diagnose and repair problems involving: Limit switches, Sensors, Motors, Starters, Relays, and Basic PLC troubleshooting (inputs/outputs, fault identification)
  • Trace electrical issues to the source and determine proper corrective action
  • Safely lock out/tag out equipment before repairs
  • Identify required replacement parts and clearly communicate part needs

Mechanical Maintenance
  • Perform mechanical repairs on conveyor systems, including Belt tracking and replacement, Rollers, bearings, chains, sprockets, and drives
  • Understand mechanical assemblies and how components work together
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures using sound logic and experience
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
  • Use proper hand tools and maintain organized tool setup for efficiency

Packaging Equipment Support
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial packaging machinery, including experience with Cerenco, Flexo, Folder-Gluers, McKinley, EMBA
  • Understand common failure points on packaging lines
  • Quickly restore machines to operational condition to minimize downtime

Operational Prioritization
  • Identify what issues are urgent vs. non-urgent
  • Respond immediately to production-stopping issues
  • Communicate clearly with operations and supervisors regarding equipment status
  • Document work performed and followed maintenance procedures
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and industrial machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (basic to intermediate level)
  • Solid mechanical knowledge (nuts, bolts, bearings, belts, chains, alignment)
  • Experience sourcing or identifying replacement parts
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Organized with tools and work area
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work overtime when production requires it

  • Packaging or Corrugated Manufacturing Experience
  • Conveyor-Heavy Production Environments
  • Electrical + Mechanical Combination Skill Set

Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday–Friday | OT as needed
