Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and motivated Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Knightstown, IN. This position is ideal for candidates with experience using MIG and TIG welding equipment in a production or fabrication environment. Welders will be responsible for producing high-quality welds, reading prints and weld symbols, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Pay is based on experience and skill level.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking dependable and motivated Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Knightstown, IN. This position is ideal for candidates with experience using MIG and TIG welding equipment in a production or fabrication environment. Welders will be responsible for producing high-quality welds, reading prints and weld symbols, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Pay is based on experience and skill level.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and weld symbols
- Perform part inspections during production using inspection tools and equipment
- Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for various jobs
- Maintain welding equipment through daily cleaning and basic maintenance
- Produce quality welds with minimal rework
- Always maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Work overtime when required to meet production demands
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced welders at advanced levels
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical degree or certification in welding preferred
- 2+ years of experience with MIG welding required; TIG welding experience preferred
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and fabrication practices
- Knowledgeable in robotic welding, CNC Press Brake, Bender is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic measurements accurately
- Knowledgeable in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, protractors
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured welding program
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Organizational and time management skills. Basic math skills.
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
