Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Welders to join a fast-paced metal fabrication and processing team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience working with structural or sheet metal materials, and the ability to safely operate welding equipment in a production environment.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld parts to meet customer specifications and production quality standards
  • Verify welds meet specifications per drawings and work orders by visual inspection and use of measuring tools
  • Follow all instructions provided by work orders
  • Record all production data by use of Company Software (Mietrak)  
  • Obtain first article inspection in each production run
  • Monitor work throughout production to ensure quality
  • Ensure parts fits dies/fixtures securely and correctly
  • Notify supervisor of any problems, rejects and any problems with clamps, fixtures or dies
  • Select correct consumable products including gases, wire, nozzles, tips, etc., for machine production
  • Select machine settings for heat and wire for production
  • Welding equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years Mig welding experience or combination of vocational training and skill
  • Must be able to successfully complete a company welding test  
  • Will consider candidates fresh out of welding school if able to pass a company welding test.  
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to carry out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Must be knowledgeable and competent to operate welding equipment. Ability to select correct consumable products including gases, wire, nozzles, tips, etc. for machine and production. Ability to select correct machine settings for heat and wire production
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.  
  • Ability to work for extended periods standing, using hand to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • Required PPE: Welding hood, steel toe shoes, sleeves, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection as needed.  
Employment Type & Compensation
  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire  
  • Compensation: $25.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM | OT Available
