Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations on a variety of commercial projects across the Colorado Springs market and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations across multiple concurrent projects — coordinating subcontractors, enforcing quality and safety standards, maintaining schedules, and mentoring field teams. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a competitive salary range of $105,000–$145,000 and the opportunity to grow within a servant-leader culture that values initiative, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of commercial superintending experience, strong leadership presence, and the ability to self-perform when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field operations across multiple concurrent commercial projects of varying types and locations simultaneously
- Read, interpret, and enforce plans and specifications; hold subcontractors accountable to contract scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules; complete Daily Project Logs and proactively identify and resolve schedule risks
- Self-perform construction tasks as required; demonstrate hands-on capability and lead by example in the field
- Conduct weekly foreman meetings and jobsite safety meetings; champion a culture of safety by identifying hazards, enforcing safe work practices, and resolving risks before they escalate
- Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and schedule inspections at appropriate project milestones
- Develop and execute site utilization and logistics plans for each project
- Mentor, manage, and develop field team members; provide oversight of time management and performance
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Drive production tracking and planning; analyze workflows and processes to optimize efficiency and resolve problems
- Enforce quality control standards throughout all phases of construction
- Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment to support project schedules
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent managing projects from groundbreaking through closeout
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations and project types
- Proven track record of leading subcontractors to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to specification
- Proficiency with construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar) and Windows-based applications
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
- Integrity, self-motivation, and a drive for continuous personal and professional development
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Ability to self-perform construction tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on office, medical/healthcare, and K–12 education projects
- Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management platforms
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience working as a development partner, construction manager, or design-builder
- Familiarity with Colorado Springs and Front Range subcontractor market
