Senior Project Manager – Chandler, AZ
Pay: $140K-$160K per year DOE
Schedule: 10-Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday
Overview:
An established structural steel fabricator is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial projects valued between $15M and $30M. This role oversees all project phases, including contracts, scope, budgets, schedules, and coordination among internal teams and general contractors. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and proficiency in project management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple project teams including PMs, APMs, and Coordinators.
- Review and process contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate with general contractors, shop, and field teams to ensure schedule compliance.
- Oversee fabrication and installation progress, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery.
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and all corporate procedures.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical or engineering training preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in the structural/miscellaneous steel industry
- Experience as a fabricator or erector may substitute for detailing/drafting background.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, erection, and AISC/AWS codes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage large commercial and industrial projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with TEKLA PowerFab EPM, Procore, and general construction estimating software.
- Proficiency with Sage /Timberline, PlanGrid, Smartsheet, Docusign, Adobe PDF editor, MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
