Job Overview:

A well-established interior design showroom in Indianapolis is seeking a Sales Manager/Consultant to lead clients through custom home renovation projects, from product selection to final installation. This position blends design consultation, project coordination, and retail sales—ideal for a results-driven professional with a creative edge and a passion for home interiors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide clients through product selection, offering tailored recommendations for flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and bath finishes

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project, managing expectations and providing regular updates

  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, including quoting, order processing, scheduling, and coordination with installers

  • Generate new business through networking with contractors, designers, and real estate professionals

  • Utilize CRM and project management software to track leads, manage timelines, and maintain accurate records

  • Collaborate with installation teams and showroom staff to ensure timely, high-quality project completion

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail sales or home design (flooring, cabinetry, kitchen/bath, or related fields)

  • Solid understanding of materials and products including tile, carpet, LVP, laminate, countertops, and cabinets

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and design/project management tools (e.g., RFMS, QFloors, or MeasureSquare)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident in building relationships and closing sales
