Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our client's warehouse team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying products against packing slips and purchase orders, staging approved inventory, and safely operating warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate will have Cherry Picker experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift materials frequently throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our client's warehouse team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying products against packing slips and purchase orders, staging approved inventory, and safely operating warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate will have Cherry Picker experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift materials frequently throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
- Verify quantities, product descriptions, and shipment documentation against purchase orders and packing slips
- Accurately check inventory into the warehouse system
- Stage verified materials in designated "green area" locations to indicate products are approved for put-away
- Operate a Cherry Picker safely and efficiently to move inventory throughout the warehouse
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous warehouse receiving experience preferred
- Experience operating a Cherry Picker is required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying shipments
- Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Dependable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Comfortable working while standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, paid weekly
