Job Summary
NCW’s Client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee mid-to-large-scale commercial construction projects throughout Indianapolis and Southern Indiana. This role will lead one or more projects during the construction phase while managing project teams and supporting a diverse portfolio of institutional clients, including colleges and universities, K-12 school districts, municipalities, healthcare systems, and other public-sector organizations.

NCW’s Client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee mid-to-large-scale commercial construction projects throughout Indianapolis and Southern Indiana. This role will lead one or more projects during the construction phase while managing project teams and supporting a diverse portfolio of institutional clients, including colleges and universities, K-12 school districts, municipalities, healthcare systems, and other public-sector organizations.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordination, financial oversight, and successful delivery of projects from preconstruction through completion, including:
- Reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy and constructability
- Preparing General Conditions and baseline schedules for subcontractors and self-performing teams
- Tracking project costs and managing budgets
- Handling change management, RFIs, and owner pay applications
- Overseeing shop drawings and submittals
- Writing and executing subcontracts and purchase orders
- Managing subcontractor relationships
- Leading regular jobsite coordination meetings
- Maintaining strong client relationships and communication throughout the project lifecycle
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial construction company
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering (Mechanical or Civil), Construction Technology, Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
- Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, draft, and execute subcontract agreements
- Willingness to relocate to or live near Indianapolis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technology proficiency: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design-Build delivery methods
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to client service
- Valid driver’s license required
