Job Summary:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee multiple structural steel projects ranging from $10 million to $20 million, managing all phases from contract through closeout.  

This role oversees all project phases, including contracts, scope, budgets, schedules, and coordination among internal teams and general contractors. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and proficiency in project management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned structural steel projects from inception to completion.  
  • Process General Contractor contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders in coordination with internal departments.
  • Coordinate with the General Contractor, shop, and field teams to ensure fabrication and installation align with project schedules.  
  • Track and distribute RFIs, submittals, and contract documents, ensuring project files are current and accessible.  
  • Perform project setup and documentation in internal systems, ensuring proper cost codes and scope definitions.  
  • Collaborate with Estimating to confirm project scope, material takeoffs, and contract deliverables.  
  • Participate in OCIP/CCIP enrollments and compliance activities when required
  • Review and interpret project drawings, contracts, and specifications to ensure full understanding of project requirements.  
  • Work with Project Coordinators and Detailers to communicate design intent and resolve discrepancies.  
  • Review all drawings for accuracy against design drawings before release to fabrication.  
  • Coordinate closely with the Shop Manager to ensure fabrication schedules meet delivery deadlines.  
  • Collaborate with Field Operations to ensure all site schedules, equipment, and installation sequences are properly aligned.  
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to confirm all safety documentation is completed before field mobilization.  
  • Maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, ensuring open communication and proactive issue resolution.  
  • Monitor project budgets, track progress, and forecast costs to maintain profitability.
  • Comply with all corporate policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.  
  • Utilize Tekla and other project management tools to monitor progress and production status

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.  
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Estimator in the structural steel or miscellaneous metals industry.  
  • Experience in fabrication or erection may substitute for detailing/drafting experience.  
  • Strong computer literacy and effective communication skills are required.  
  • Experience with Tekla PowerFab (EPM) and Procore preferred

Schedule: 8-10-Hour Shifts | Monday-Friday | Weekends as required
