This role supports a fast-paced preconstruction department delivering professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for large-scale commercial, K-12, higher education, healthcare, and municipal projects.
The Preconstruction Manager will provide comprehensive front-end project support across multiple large-scale developments, working closely with owners, architects, preconstruction staff, and operations teams to ensure projects are strategically planned and competitively positioned for success.

This role supports a fast-paced preconstruction department delivering professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for large-scale commercial, K-12, higher education, healthcare, and municipal projects.
The Preconstruction Manager will provide comprehensive front-end project support across multiple large-scale developments, working closely with owners, architects, preconstruction staff, and operations teams to ensure projects are strategically planned and competitively positioned for success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets
- Developing preliminary schedules and phasing plans
- Performing value engineering and constructability analysis
- Conducting risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Managing bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement
- Researching market conditions, labor rates, and material pricing
- Performing quantity takeoffs and scope development
- Reviewing design plans and specifications in detail
- Supporting proposal development and pre-award planning
Projects typically serve institutional clients such as colleges and universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems, and other public-sector organizations.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a preconstruction or construction operations role
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical or Civil), Construction Technology, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technology proficiency with preconstruction and modeling tools, including:
- Assemble
- On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
- CAD
- Revit
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Project
- Preferred experience with Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Procore, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design-Build delivery methods
- Willingness to relocate to or reside near Indianapolis, IN
- Team-oriented with strong client service mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Valid driver’s license required
