Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Assembly Team Lead (Rectifier Team Lead) to join our rectifier assembly operations in Troy, MI. In this position, you will support and lead a team of assemblers while also remaining hands-on in the assembly, wiring, and testing of rectifier systems and related power components. This position is well suited for a technically strong assembler who has progressed into leadership and thrives in a fast-paced, continuous improvement, manufacturing environment.
We are seeking an experienced Power Systems Assembly Team Lead (Rectifier Team Lead) to join our rectifier assembly operations in Troy, MI. In this position, you will support and lead a team of assemblers while also remaining hands-on in the assembly, wiring, and testing of rectifier systems and related power components. This position is well suited for a technically strong assembler who has progressed into leadership and thrives in a fast-paced, continuous improvement, manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build rectifier assemblies from start to finish according to print specifications
- Interpret and follow electrical schematics and blueprints with support from electricians
- Assemble and wire rectifier electronic packages, fans, breakers, pot assemblies, and output panels
- Perform OHM testing to verify assemblies are built to print
- Complete final cabinet wiring by installing panels, routing and harnessing wires, and stripping/lugging conductors
- Assemble electrical wiring within enclosures, and small electrical components related to circuit boards
- Prepare transformer components, including cleaning components, measuring and cutting materials, stripping and lugging wires, and operating punch press equipment
- Partner with the Production Supervisor to build weekly schedules and authorize overtime
- Assign work based on skill level, workload, and production priorities
- Track attendance and timecard accuracy for hourly associates
- Conduct regular inspections and initiate corrective actions when required
- Lead safety conversations and ensure team readiness
- Ensure 5S and process discipline are maintained within the work area
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams
- Maintain accurate production records, labor tracking, and assembly documentation in Epicor
- Support performance feedback, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed in partnership with HR
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and recognizing team achievements
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 1 year of leadership or team lead experience in manufacturing
- Experience working in fast-paced, continuous improvement production settings
- Advanced knowledge of assembly processes
- Intermediate knowledge of wiring and electrical assembly
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP Systems (EPICORE PREFERRED)
- Solid understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, material transfers and put away processes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and assembly drawings
- Comfortable operating hand tools and power tools in an industrial environment
- Willingness to work overtime when required to meet production needs

- 1st Shift | Monday – Thursday | 5:30am-2:00pm
