Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Powder Coat Painter to join a manufacturing team in Faribault, MN. Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Powder Coat Painter to join a manufacturing team in Faribault, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with powder coating processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand job orders and interact with Epicor.
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
- Understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork necessary in the operation, including entering paperwork into Epicor. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.
- Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set up, take apart, troubleshoot, and operate paint equipment.
- Powder coat parts per customer’s specifications
- Perform required quality control checks and inspections to ensure the product being manufactured meets required specifications.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma required, and technical secondary education is preferred.
- One year experience in Powder Coating or Paint
- Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors prior to powder coating
- Must wear a respirator on a frequent basis while painting
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
- Comfortable with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $20.00 per hour
- Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
- 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM –2:00 AM
