Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Packaging Staff members to join our client’s production team. This role is responsible for preparing products for shipment by assembling cartons, repackaging items, labeling shipments, and ensuring products are packed securely for transport. Candidates must be Spanish speaking, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Packaging Staff members to join our client’s production team. This role is responsible for preparing products for shipment by assembling cartons, repackaging items, labeling shipments, and ensuring products are packed securely for transport. Candidates must be Spanish speaking, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and build master carton boxes for shipment.
- Repack ceramic and glass products into larger cartons as needed.
- Fill empty spaces in cartons with appropriate packing materials to prevent damage.
- Apply and organize correct shipping labels on all packages.
- Perform repetitive packing, grasping, gripping, bending, and stooping throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to ensure a safe work environment
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
- No prior experience required, training provided
- Spanish speaking required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a production environment around moving machinery.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Pay rate is $16.00 per hour, paid weekly
- Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Overtime as needed
