Job Summary
We are searching for a weekend Material Handler that possess the experience and skills needed for a key role in helping to execute the Materials team's mission of having the right inventory, in the right place, at the right time. This position is crucial for maintaining the company's inventory levels, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct material transactions according to production schedule and Epicor (ERP) signals
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP's)
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Clean, restock, and organize the warehouse area to maintain a safe and efficient environment
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned, including multitasking and prioritizing tasks
- Read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English, which may include job travelers and sales orders
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching are required to perform the job effectively
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Wear required PPE always
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma
- Ability to read information, safely operate machines and visually inspect purchased parts
- Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and set priorities
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational and coordination abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending and reaching required
- Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform this job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet,
- and Hearing protection
Additional Qualifications Preferred
- Basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products
- Basic mathematics skills used to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc.
- Organization, attention to detail, and documentation skills to keep an accurate account of materials used during the manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
