Job Summary
The IVD Generalist is a cross-trained production role responsible for supporting multiple stages of the manufacturing process for Industrial Ventilation Ducting (IVD) and related products. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are assembled, inspected, and prepared for shipment according to quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment while collaborating with team members across several production functions.
The IVD Generalist is a cross-trained production role responsible for supporting multiple stages of the manufacturing process for Industrial Ventilation Ducting (IVD) and related products. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are assembled, inspected, and prepared for shipment according to quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment while collaborating with team members across several production functions.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Roto Heat Sealer to heat seal tubing and other IVD products.
- Perform sewing tasks to seal tubing and assemble industrial ventilation ducting.
- Manufacture various cuffs used in heat-sealed and sewn ducting.
- Trim, inspect, and package finished tubing products.
- Follow ISO Quality Assurance standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct product inspections at various stages to identify defects and maintain quality.
- Match finished products to factory orders to ensure shipment accuracy.
- Stencil product identification, prepare labels, and weigh shipments.
- Load finished goods for transport while following safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to learn and perform multiple production tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active role.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and adapt to different production tasks.
- Experience with industrial sewing, heat sealing, or shipping is a plus (training provided).
- Team-oriented with reliable work ethics.
