Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician with 10+ years of hands-on and managerial experience in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system integration across a wide range of industrial applications. This role requires expertise in high-voltage systems, controls, automation, and hazardous environments.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Construction & Installation
- Perform new construction, additions, remodeling, and rewiring of industrial facilities
- Assist in preconstruction planning and design-build projects
- Execute facility shutdowns and electrical upgrades
- Install and repair single-phase (120/240V) and three-phase systems (120/208V, 277/480V)
- Perform meter panel upgrades, underground services, and surge protection system installations
Cabling & Low Voltage Systems
- Install and maintain surveillance, CCTV, and card access systems
- Run and terminate telephone, data, and fiber optic cabling
- Work on fire alarm and security systems
Hazardous & Explosion-Proof Environments
- Install and maintain systems in Class I, II, and III hazardous locations
- Work in environments involving liquid bulk storage, chemicals, and gas systems
Industrial Equipment & Automation
- Maintain and repair conveyors, robotics, and material handling systems
- Troubleshoot motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Work with switchgear and motor control centers (MCCs)
Controls & Instrumentation
- Install and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Perform field control wiring and system upgrades
- Work with relay logic and computer-based control systems
Custom Fabrication & Labeling
- Assist in design, fabrication, and installation of custom UL control panels
- Create and install custom thermal-printed tags and labels
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of industrial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards
- Proven experience with high-voltage systems and industrial controls
- Experience working in hazardous/explosion-proof environments preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA systems
- Background in automation and process controls
- Familiarity with energy audits and power quality analysis
- Experience with UL panel fabrication and design-build projects
