Position Summary

We are seeking a safety-focused Forklift Operator/Spotter to support daily yard operations in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for safely moving trailers and materials throughout the yard while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and traffic. In addition, you will operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse facility as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely move and position trailers, equipment, and materials throughout the yard.  
  • Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise within the warehouse facility as needed.  
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
  • Perform spotter duties to ensure the safe movement of trailers to facilitate warehouse sorting and the processing of merchandise for shipment or storage.  
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.  
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.  
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Dumping materials into machine hoppers.  
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.  
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors to coordinate yard activities.  
Requirements:
  • At least 3-6 months of sit-down forklift experience, 6 months of yard experience as a spotter, yard jockey, or in a similar role.
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift. Forklift certification is required.  
  • A clean driving record or a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
  • Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, basic math, and communications skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • May be required to use a RF scanner gun.  
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive in reverse for extended periods while accurately judging distances and clearances.
  • Having a good sense of balance, good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.  
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds without restriction as needed.  
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for continuous periods of time.  
Schedule:  
  • Wednesday – Sunday | 7:00 am – until the job is finished
  • Currently working 20-32 hours per week
Compensation:  
  • $20.50 per hour
