Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Oakwood, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a powered industrial truck, values workplace safety, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to safely transport materials throughout the warehouse and designated work areas.  
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.  
  • Checking loads is secure.  
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.  
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.  
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.  
  • Dumping materials into machine hoppers.  
  • Inspect products and materials for quality and report any discrepancies or damage.  
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.  
  • Recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.  
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines while maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck (forklift) in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.  
  • Ability to remain seated while operating a forklift for extended periods, including driving in reverse for long durations.  
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately judge distances, heights, and surrounding hazards.  
  • Good math, language, and reading skills.  
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.  
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.  
  • May be required to use RF scanner gun.  
  • A valid state driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record may be required.  
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit on a powered industrial truck positioning body to drive backward for long periods of time.  
  • Have a good sense of balance  
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination  
  • Ability to judge distance and heights.  
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as needed.    
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures depending on seasonal conditions.
Employment Type & Compensation
  • Temporary
  • Compensation: $18.00 per hour
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – Until the job is completed
