Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to support material handling operations on an active construction site in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will operate Sky Trak reach forklifts (8K/36K), telehandlers, skid steers, and other material handling equipment to safely transport, stage, and distribute construction materials throughout the job site. The ideal candidate is experienced working in a fast-paced construction environment, understands job site safety requirements, and is willing to assist with general site duties as needed.

In this role, you will operate Sky Trak reach forklifts (8K/36K), telehandlers, skid steers, and other material handling equipment to safely transport, stage, and distribute construction materials throughout the job site. The ideal candidate is experienced working in a fast-paced construction environment, understands job site safety requirements, and is willing to assist with general site duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Sky Trak reach forklifts (8K/36K), telehandlers, skid steers, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport, unload, stage, and distribute construction materials throughout the job site.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are handled properly to prevent damage.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies while working on an active construction site.
- Assist with general labor and material handling tasks as needed to support project operations.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area, ensuring materials are properly stored and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other trades to coordinate material movement and workflow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience operating Sky Trak reach forklifts (8K, 36K), telehandlers, skid steers, or similar construction equipment.
- Construction job site experience is strongly preferred.
- Forklift and/or equipment certifications are strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must provide your own hard hat and leather work boots (steel-toe boots are not required).
Employment Type & Compensation
- Temporary
- Compensation: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience
- Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
