Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy transportation and logistics operation in Shepherdsville, KY. This position is responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage freight while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced distribution, transportation, or warehouse setting and be committed to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy transportation and logistics operation in Shepherdsville, KY. This position is responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage freight while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced distribution, transportation, or warehouse setting and be committed to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate electric and propane sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and dock areas.
- Load and unload trailers while ensuring freight is handled properly to prevent damage.
- Move, stage, stack, and organize materials to support daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Verify freight and shipment information using shipping documents and RF scanners as needed.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company and OSHA safety standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including PPE requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- General warehouse or production experience required
- Experience with picking, packing, assembly, or production line work required
- Experience operating both electric and propane-powered forklifts.
- Ability to load and unload trailers in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, safety procedures, and freight accuracy.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cross-dock or transportation terminal environment.
- Previous LTL, freight, or logistics industry experience.
- RF scanner experience.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory movement and freight handling procedures.

- Safety googles
- Must wear solid RED shirt – No graphics on shirts
- Solid BLACK shorts
- No hats
Employment Type & Compensation
- This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
- Compensation: $20.50 per hour, paid weekly
- Application Window: Open until filled
