Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift – Reach Truck Operator to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution team in Eagan, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to move, load, unload, and stage materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck forklift to move materials within the warehouse facility.
- Work as part of a team to load and/or unload materials.
- Comply with company policies and safety guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Accurately pick, pack, check, and load products to and from designated areas in the facility, as well as on and off trailers.
- Move materials packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
- Stack loads in the correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions.
- Complete forms and handle documentation.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1 year of related work experience
- RF Scanner experience preferred
- OSHA forklift certification or operating experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and work ethic
- Must be able to take direction from multiple supervisors
- Communication, organization, attention to detail, basic math, and time management skills
- Ability to be cross trained on different jobs
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently is required.
- Spanish is preferred (required in some markets).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
- This position may be required to sit; use hands to feel, perform manual dexterity; reach with hand and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Compensation:
- $20.00 per hour
